Dunkin Donuts
Rajouri Garden
New Delhi
Dunkin Donuts Rajouri Garden is strategically located on the Rajouri Garden Main road, right next to Pind Balluchi. We were 2 people who went just to try out the new very popular, "Tough Guy Burger". So it was around 1 30 in the afternoon that we reached there and the place was quite empty. Maybe just two couples were seated before us. When we went to place our order, there was somebody else placing the order before us. By the time it was our turn , their billing machine stopped working. Now only the heavens know why that happened. However the person at the billing counter, took our order down on a piece of paper and assured us that he would get our food prepared. however he refused to take any payment since the bill was not computerized.
We were comfortably seated and made plans as to which donuts we would be ordering post our "Tough Guys". Time passed and we realised that the billing machine had started functioning. Maybe 10 mins after we placed our order. We were however assured that the food is being prepared, so we waited for our order to arrive. Around 15 minutes passed, and we realised that people who placed orders after us, were being served their burgers immediately. A little dissappointed, we went to the counter and told them to kindly make it quick. Another 15 minutes passed and thats when the man called us to the counter. We finally took a sigh of relief hoping our food would be there now. But, HE JUST CALLED US FOR THE PAYMENT.
This was what actually happened:
When the machine stopped working, the guy could not take any payment from us, which is why he did not get our food prepared. Soon when the place started becoming full he forgot about this incident. It was only when we reminded him of our presence that he waited for the current queue to settle down, and called us for the payment. It was then, that he started getting our food prepared.
WE GOT TWO TOUGH GUY BURGERS IN 40 MINUTES.
Concept of fast food: Down the drain!
Now for the food,
Let me tell you that I tried their vegetarian burger. Its quite big and huge, its messy to eat, but it is not juicy or flavorful.
The only flavor that I could experience was that of a very pungent mustard and just that!
This is since they did not have any other other dressing in the burger to cut through the taste of the pungent mustard.
The bun in which it was made was quite dry and rough to eat.
However if somebody is very fond of mustard, I'm sure they would love it, but this was not what I wanted to eat after 40 minutes for sure.
